Chantal Kreviazuk 出生于加拿大缅省的年轻音乐创作人，钢琴家。三岁的时候即被发现对钢琴有着独特的兴趣。91年开始在加拿大著名的University Of Manitoba 音乐系学习。钢琴成为了她人生的唯一部分。不幸的事情在94年发生了，一次交通的意外中，她虽然幸免于难，可是，她不得不放弃为之追求了十几年的钢琴艺术，手部不能非常灵敏的转换，虽然在生活上没有任何影响,但始终艺术是严格的。从车祸中恢复过来后，Chantal 开始了在音乐上的另外的一条道路：音乐创作。
1996-10-08 发行了第一张专辑 Under These Rocks & Stones ，全部的歌曲和歌词均是由她一人包办的。
1998，Chantal 为电影 “Armageddon” 创作了歌曲 Leaving On a Jet Plane 。
1999-04-27 Columbia 唱片发行了电视剧原声专辑 Dawson's Creek 。
1999-10-05 Chantal 发行了第二张专辑 Colour Moving & Still ，制作人之一Tim Finn ，是 Crowded House的灵魂 Neil Finn 的弟弟，也曾经是Crowded House 的成员之一 。
