多伦多音乐花园 The Toronto Music Garden is located on the waterfront at 475 Queen's Quay West between Bathurst Street & Spadina Avenue. It is open year-round and there is no admission fee. 花园的设计，是用自然景观诠释巴赫的G大调第一无伴奏大提琴组曲。组曲里每一舞曲乐章，对应于花园中不同的部分。 这部曲子，一共有六个乐章：前奏曲 （Prelude），阿列曼德（Allemande），库朗特（Courante），萨拉班德（Sarabande）， 華麗曲（Galanteries），小步舞曲（Minuet），吉格（Gigue） 。 The garden design interprets in nature Bach's First Suite for Unaccompanied Cello, with each dance movement within the suite corresponding to a different section in the garden.
Julie Messervy designed the waterfront Music Garden in collaboration with landscape architects from the city's Parks and Recreation department. Two Canadian artists created special features for the Music Garden. Tom Tollefson, architectural blacksmith, fabricated the Music Pavilion, and Anne Roberts, Feir Mill Design Inc., designed the Maypole. |
